Ultrex®

Infinity from Marvin replacement windows are made of Ultrex, a pultruded fiberglass made from strong glass cables saturated with compounded resins, pulled through a heated die, and cut with diamond edged saw blades. This results in several advantages:

1. Ultrex is eight times stronger than vinyl and can withstand pressure up to 41,000 psi (pounds per square inch) – in comparison, steel withstands just a little bit over 29,000 psi.
2. Unlike wood, Ultrex is resistant to corrosion, rot, warping and cracking. It doesn’t absorb moisture, nor does it expand or contract in extreme weather conditions.
3. Ultrex has optimal thermal performance and is non-conductive. This means heat stays where it should be: outside in summer, and inside in winter.
4. Ultrex is sustainable. It’s made from silica sand — an abundant resource — and requires 80% less energy than aluminum to manufacture.

Window Design

Infinity by Marvin uses advanced sash designs and hardware that withstand extreme winds and temperatures, staying watertight while remaining easy to clean. Their narrower profile gives you a better view of the outside. When combined with Marvin’s LoE²-272® or LoE³-366® glass, they also allow more daylight in while keeping up to 95% of harmful UV rays out.

EverWood® is an exclusive finish that looks and feels like real wood — it can even be stained to match your existing woodwork! But unlike wood, it will not shrink or warp, nor will it require sanding, scraping or refinishing. Several designs are available depending on what you want. They range from simple casement windows, to a double hung replacement window in Kokomo, to even a full bay or bow window assembly.
