In traditional homes, the flankers are usually set at a 30°, 45°, or 60° angle. The angular bay design lends interest to exterior design while providing a generous recess indoors. Most experts in window replacement agree, though, that the box bay configuration is consistent with the aesthetic of many modern architectures. With flankers set at a 90° angle, the side units command less attention and help provide even more usable real estate.

Bow

The bow is just a bay window with a curved shaped. Comprised of four to six panels that gracefully jut out from the wall, it offers a wider view and admits more light than the typical bay. Its alcove makes an excellent location for a seat with built-in storage, which is an elegant solution to declutter and add comfort to your bath.
